Nursing students are set to return to Salisbury classrooms, due to a new collaboration between Coventry University Group, Wiltshire College and University Centre, and Salisbury Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The Nursing Associate Foundation Degree is the first time an in-person classroom-based course has been available for student nursing associates in Salisbury since 1992.
The collaboration is part of wider discussions on the future of the hospital, of which HEAT Project Salisbury is a major part.
The education element of the project is a key focus of the HEAT project, with the overall aim of helping the hospital thrive, develop the resources to recruit and retain talented people in the area, and drive forward the local economy.
Working with higher and further education providers will increase education provision, which will benefit everyone in the city and surrounding region.
